ABOUT THE PROJECT

Climate change, environmental disasters, and conflict are reshaping migration patterns in Eastern Africa, triggering both adaptive movements and forced displacements. The MECMEA project seeks to foster collaboration among governments, CSOs, and researchers for a more efficient multi-level policy coordination. Its objectives are to strengthen evidence-based policymaking, boost stakeholder capacity, and improve policy
coherence. By bridging gaps between research, policy, and community action, the project aims to reinforce the governance framework for managing mobility induced climate, environmental disasters and conflict across the region.
